When the gap approaches zero, the cutting force becomes quite large, until the strength of the blade cannot withstand it, causing breakage. However, if the gap is too large, the quality of the slices will be significantly affected. Therefore, the cutting gap needs to be reasonably selected in production. Based on experience, the cutting gap of the granulator cutter is controlled between 0.03mm and 0.04mm, which ensures a certain cutting force while obtaining qualified slices.

　　The gap of the granulator cutter is closely related to the thickness and strength of the cutting material. In the shearing process, the sheet is not 100% sheared; it is actually partially sheared and partially fractured.

　　2. In the cutting process of the cutter, not all the plate thickness is cut by the granulator cutter. After cutting, part of the plate thickness is fractured. The more brittle the material, the larger the fracture surface.
